I just read an article in the latest McKinsey Quarterly called A better way to fix banks. The title intrigued me, as did the subtitle: “Here’s a plan that could solve the toxic-asset pricing problem voluntarily—without requiring Uncle Sam to nationalize the whole industry—and make (pretty much) everyone a winner.” Sigh… I thought McKinsey was better than this.
